Key facts
Project Objective
To provide an update of the borough's Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP) to support the Council's Local Plan Partial Review.
Summary/Overview
We worked closely with the Planning and Borough Development Team and officers in various council departments, to provide a well-presented and fully updated IDP and Infrastructure Schedule.
In addition, just over a year since the introduction of the Council's Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and Regulation 123 list, the council sought a report into options for how CIL could be spent at the borough-wide and neighbourhood level.
Using our knowledge of CIL legislation and national guidance, we went on to work with internal stakeholders and reviewed best practice from other local authorities to provide a report on potential approaches to the allocation, governance and spending of CIL in the Royal Borough.
Impact
Both elements of this commission were delivered within the required timescales and exceeded the client's expectations in terms of quality and added value.
