Deliver a gradual reduction in office accommodation over a 5 year period
Consolidation of council offices into a new single site.
To create revenue savings through the consolidation of council offices. And facilitating changes in process and technology to create a future way of working, enabling services to deliver work remotely and reduce the requirement of office space.
James Windsor ran a series of workshops to understand the size, shape and function of the council in 2021 to ensure that the new office would be fit for purpose.
In addition to this, he led on the property aspects of the programme and compiled an accommodation strategy. Over a 5 year period, this would deliver a gradual reduction in office accommodation as new technology and processes would be rolled out and staff would start to embrace a more flexible and modern way of working.
To inform the costs of the business case, he also led on a financial viability study for the new office and initial site assessments. This work was undertaken in line with the wider Wood Green Regeneration programme and the Area Action Plan, to ensure that the location and site density was in harmony with local planning policy.
It resulted in the realisation of significant revenue savings through the consolidation of council offices into a new single site, which is fit for purpose, future proofed and cost effective.
