Based in Central London but operating nationally, Inner Circle is an award winning project and management consultancy serving the senior clients, primarily in public sector.

Our clients approach us with knotty problems. SENIOR CONSULTANT

SUMMARY

As a senior consultant, you will bring substantial experience in your specialist field and a consultancy role. You will have a sound knowledge of the public sector and current policy and political issues affecting it. You will be able to evidence previous experience in project management on at least three major projects, preferably in the public sector and using nationally accredited methodologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Set out below are the primary responsibilities of a Senior Consultant at Inner Circle Consulting. It is acknowledged that the delivery of some aspects of this descriptor may vary slightly, based on the business requirements and/or project team structure and context.

  • Core consulting activities: problem analytics, research, options appraisal & solution development, risk management, influencing

  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams of colleagues and partners on complex projects and programme

  • Engaging with clients and multiple stakeholders at a senior level

  • Delivering a portfolio of programmes and projects on time, to budget and to the required quality standards

  • Creating and maintaining strong and productive relationships with clients, colleagues and partners

  • Helping to obtain new clients, finding new business opportunities through networking, tendering, winning repeat business and referrals

  • Helping to maintain and continually enhance the Inner Circle quality standards and lead internal R&D projects

  • Participating in businesses networking events and client entertainment to further enhance the reputation and attractiveness of the organisation

  • Mentoring more junior colleagues and contributing to their professional and personal development.

MANAGING CONSULTANT

SUMMARY

As a managing consultant you will join the senior management team with the directors and be operating at the heart of the business. You will take on a leadership role that encompasses all operational elements of business including managing staff, lead the most complex projects and generate new business, and in return you will be well rewarded. A summary of the tasks is set out below:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Projects

  • Leading and managing the delivery of a portfolio of large complex programmes supported by an Inner Circle team including being the main client contact for the same

  • Leading multidisciplinary project teams of colleagues and partners

  • Delivering projects on time, to budget and to the required quality standards

  • Core consulting activities: problem analytics, research, options appraisal & solution development, risk management, influencing

 

Business

  • Winning business with new clients

  • Locating and recruiting new staff

  • Helping to maintain and continually enhance the Inner Circle quality standards

  • Participating in businesses networking events and client entertainment to further enhance the reputation and attractiveness of the organisation

  • Leading internal R&D projects, developing new services and products

  • Line management of staff, managing staff performance and supporting their professional and personal development.

  • Creating and maintaining strong and productive relationships with Clients, colleagues and partners

 

As managing consultant you will have extensive experience in your specialist field, in which you are renowned as an expert. You will have extensive experience of leading or directing major, complex and business-critical projects preferably in the public and private sectors and bringing genuine strategic insight. In depth knowledge of the public sector and of current policy and political issues affecting it.

 
 

CONSULTANT

SUMMARY

As a consultant, you will bring experience and in-depth knowledge of a specialist field. You will be able to evidence of a wide range of consultancy projects and client-facing experience or comparable transferable skills.

ANALYST

SUMMARY

As an Analyst, you will provide support activities as an integral part of our project teams; conducting qualitative and qualitative research, analysing data for trends and creating management information to inform our clients strategic decision-making.

You will also participate and support general business activities including tendering, organising meetings and events.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The below descriptor captures the generic responsibilities of Analyst at Inner Circle Consulting. It is acknowledged that the delivery of some aspects of this descriptor may vary slightly, based on the business requirements and/or project team structure and context.

 

  • Core consulting activities: problem analytics, research, options appraisal & solution development, risk management

  • Supporting multidisciplinary project teams of colleagues and partners

  • Delivering projects on time, to budget and to the required quality standards

  • Creating and maintaining strong and productive relationships with Clients, colleagues and partners

  • Helping to maintain and continually enhance the Inner Circle quality standards and contribute to internal R&D projects

  • One or more of the following: Production of financial and economic forecasting models, document production, designing illustrate material incl. infographics, maps, sketch-ups

  • Assisting with general business matters

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • IT skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project), Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Online media communications platforms

  • Project management: A sound level of understanding of the principles of effective programme and project management, supported by practical experience
