Project Objective 

 

The council aspired to better understand the needs of its various communities in order to deliver integrated public services to residents and visitors to the region at the right time, in the way that they would need them and in a way that would be cost effective for the whole community. It also aspired to develop a more joined up approach with other public service providers, and to provide those services in one place.

Impact

James Windsor developed the business case for the integrated service liaising with various directors and CEO’s from public sector bodies including the council, Police, NHS, Job Centre Plus, Age Concern, Citizen’s Advice Bureau and HMRC. James worked with the council to develop a shared vision and progressed through the project lifecycle to the successful completion of 3 One Stop Shops with integrated front and back office support, a shared Communications Hub with an integrated switchboard and the creation of a Social Enterprise which integrated the council’s social services and the NHS primary care trust.

 

The One Stop Shop was an exemplary project. Front and back office services and partners were brought together in a space that achieved a significant transformation in the way services were delivered to the public.
